The Kootenays are home to the world famous Gerrard Rainbow Trout and Bull Trout. These giant rainbows can grow to over 30lbs., and many weighing over 20lbs. are caught each year! The fight of the Gerrard is second to none - with many aerials and long hard runs.
Call Kootenay KingFisher Guiding Services and experience skipping a bucktail across the waves for Gerrard Trout, downrigging for a monster Bull Trout, fly fishing and spin casting on a gorgeous summer day, or jigging in one of the many pools on the Columbia River for Walleye.
We offer fully guided day trips as well as all inclusive packages including lodging, incredible meals, and licenses.
Enjoy the peace and quiet of our local lakes and rivers. Some days you are the only boat in sight. The scenery is breathtaking - eagles, ospreys, deer and bear are some of the wildlife you may see.
For lake fishing,
we offer safe, comfortable, and clean 22ft. charter boats - complete
with cuddy cabin, washroom facilities, and BBQ. The
Kingfisher offers walk-around decks and lots of space for those
hot summer days while trolling for fiesty rainbows, bull trout
and kokanee. The
boats are heated in the winter for your comfort. For the
Columbia River, we offer 16ft open bow boats with 80hp motors
to get you quickly and safely to the best 
fishing
holes.
Brad Stubbs
is a full time licensed fishing guide who fishes these local waters
12 months of the year. My commitment to you is to provide
