Pound for pound, it's hard to match the fight of the rainbow trout!  Many heart-stopping jumps and long, hard runs are the norm as they try to shake the lure out of their mouth.

If you're looking for monster rainbow and bull trout, then the Kootenays are where you want to be.

I fish Upper Arrow Lake from September to April, then Kootenay Lake from the middle of April until the end of May.

Rainbows and bull trout average 4 to 12 pounds during these months but many over 12 pounds a caught each year, and bragging rights start at 20 pounds.  Skipping bucktails through the waves - along with plugs apexs, and spoons are the lures of choice.

Our boats are covered and fully heated for your comfort during the cooler months.  What a great way to beat cabin fever during the winter months!
