Fishing Report for August 2, 2005:
The fishing is excellent for trout and walleye right now. Lots of action.

On the Upper Columbia last week, we were hooking up to 17 trout per day. Prime hard fighting fish up to 22 inches. The water is a brisk 52 degrees in the river, which keeps these fish very active all summer long. 3 inch apexs and minnow style streamers working the best.

On the Lower Columbia the walleye fishing is very good. Getting
between 20 and 30 per day. The river is very high right
now so makes it a little harder than normal, but it is starting
to drop which will open up a few more holes, and should get the
numbers even higher. The trout fishing is excellent, especially
in the evenings when the caddis come off in clouds.
