FISHING REPORT

Fishing Report for July 7th 2009

Another season on the west coast has started, and it's going to be a great one. Lots and lots of fish. The Alaskan commercial fleet was cut back by 30% this year, and we are seeing the benifits.

The salmon are thick at 4 mile. I had to stop using flasher and hootchie, and switch to big plugs to keep the small ones off. Fish are currently in the 15 - 25lb range, with the odd one to 35lbs.

Hali's are thick out at 20 mile. At slack tide, limits are filled quikly.

The Coho are already here as well, which is a nice bonus. Getting a few keepers to 10 lbs.

The Hourston is working out great. Definitely a smoother ride, and more room for fishing out of, making it better for everyone.

Have a great summer, and remember to get out fishing.

What a prize catch. Great job Dalyn!! I just hope I get invited to the BBQ. Nothing tastes better than fresh Kokannee.

Spring has sprung. Time to get out fishing!!!
