Kootenay Lake is fishing very well right now. There's been a couple of 20 pounders weighed in this spring already, and good numbers of 10 - 15's. They've been loving Brownie's flies trolled at 3 mph. Most days they have been wanting a fly with rainbow mylar in it like the 215. Of course as soon as you think you have it figured out they throw you a curve ball, and want another color for that day. That's what you have to love about this fishery. You are always on your toes figuring out the fish.

Fishing on Kootenay lake will continue to be hot for the next month and a bit so drop me a line and lets get out fishing.

Salmon and Halibut trips out of Ucluelet will be starting around June 20th. Looking forward to another great summer on the salt chuck.
