Salmon Fishing in Barkley Sound

For the months of July, August and Sept. we fish the abundant waters of Barkley Sound for Salmon and Halibut.
There are both offshore and inshore fishing oppurtunities here.

Offshore fishing is very exciting and fast paced, and runs untill about the 10th of August. We will head out 5 to 25 miles out to big bank where huge schools of salmon congregate, and salmon that are heading south of Barkley Sound to spawn stop here to eat the abundace of feed. Success rates are excellent for both Salmon and Halibut.

Chinook average 12 - 35 lbs, Coho 7 - 15lbs, and Halibut 20 - 40lbs

During the first week of August, big Chinook salmon averaging 20 - 40lbs, and some reaching over 50lbs start to congregate in Barkley Sound working their way back to their home rivers to spawn. August and September are excellent times to concentrate on these brutes in and around the islands of Barkley Sound.
While your catching your trophy salmon don't forget to enjoy the breathtaking scenery and wildlife, including whales, eagles, and ospreys.

It all adds up to a spectacular trip you'll never forget.
